Nancy Kollmann is the William H. Bonsall Professor of History at Stanford University specializing in early modern Russia. She’s the author of several books including Crime and Punishment in Early Modern Russia; By Honor Bound: State and Society in Early Modern Russia; and Kinship and Politics: The Making of the Muscovite Political System, 1345-1547. Her most recent book is The Russian Empire, 1450-1801 published by Oxford University Press.
