Hi Sean,

An unrelated comment. I couldn't help noticing the link under the logo "Handbook for bloggers and ..." says: "по-русский". Should be "по-русски" (in Russian).

Buster, I thought the same thing when I saw the video. The answer is, however, that even if someone follows up with police or prosecutors, nothing will ever come of it.

One could try, I suppose, to bring those "Yabloko" activists up on statutory rape charges. But since the video appears to have been merely staged by Nashi types, it's unlikely it would go anywhere.

Animal rights activists tried to get police to look into a disgusting stunt pulled by (presumably) pro-Kremlin youth in which they tossed dying and dead sheep out of a bus outside the Solidarity founding congress, but naturally nothing came of it.

Sean, it turned out to be a sort of meta-prank. Yashin had called the press conference to talk about pro-Kremlin youth groups' infiltration of opposition groups, and the footage presented would only seem to highlight this infiltration. If, of course, it weren't so clearly staged.

A legal question about the 2nd video:

If Nashi captured footage of a nude 14-year-old having sex and distributed it, are they subject to prosecution under Russia's laws on child pornography?

Second question, if so, how long until someone pushes for the police to follow up on this?

Third question, is the hired actor playing the 14-year-old girl actually under age?
