Well, Ivanov is certainly mysterious. Is there some reason why we cannot know what magnificent island you are on, Mr Ivanov? I think it’s partly because for a Russian man to marry a non-Russian is sort of “marrying down,” societally speaking. Almost all of the mixed marriages I know amoung rossiyane are between a Russian woman and a Tatar, Jewish, Ingush, whatever, man.

I do know (:))) but it’s less numerically and generally less successful. (I mean most of the marriages/relationships are between foreign men and Russian women.) Why? Not the subject of this blog, but perhaps a topic for the LoveDoctor to analyze.
